Clyde. November 21st. 1868. Dear Sir, In a great measure the results that I looked for as following the successful attack upon Turanga, by the enemy, have taken place. The Hau Haus have drawn away from here, leaving only small parties in our neighbourhood; the strength of which it is not easy, however, to estimate. The story about Hemi te Waru having been personally at Te Wakaki, is incorrect. At the same time, though, the out-settlers have been pretty continuously in communication with the enemy's scouts, who are therefore well informed of our position and movements.
