Clyde January 16th. 1869 Sir, I have reason to suspect that Rewi to Ngahu and wife, Hirini, and wife; together with Raia, - all of Lower Wairoa, - having got away from Te Kooti's party at Turanga, have made their way towards Te Wairoa. The only method of effecting their capture would be through their relatives, whom I am tolerably certain, possess some actual knowledge of their whereabouts. They will do nothing unless first assured of their safety. I would be glad to know if I may take any stops towards arranging the matter, an I think their capture would be of some value, especially that of Rewi, in the way of obtaining information. I beg to remain Sir, Your obedient servant (Signed) Geo. Worgan. To:- His Honor D. McLean Esq.
