7 Jany., 1852. My Dear McLean, Sir, I intended to have written you a long letter by this opportunity of the Colonels going to the South but I find that I have not time. I send you duplicates of documents relating to Land Claims near the East Cape which were forwarded in the original to you at Hawkes Bay where you were supposed to be but as you may be in Wellington we send these there. Excuse brevity and give my best respects to Mrs. McLean also to Mrs. Strang and our jolly good friend Mr. Strang. I remain, Yours truly and in haste, A. Sinclair.
