Wharea 28 August 1845 Friend, McLean, Greetings to you there. I have great affection for you. Friend, my letter has reached the Pakeha of Kapiti. Bolland and Taylor have refused us a letter. From me, from Nopera Tamure [Note following] 'Wharea. Aug. 28th 1845. Nopera Tamure has written to Kaputi, Wm & Taylor will not write to him.'
