New Plymouth 27th. May 1850. Sir, I beg to acquaint your Worship that everything is right at the farm. There has been nothing done to the fencing since Mr. Gudgeon paid Batten £5. However, I went to Batten's last week, and he promised to go to work at this. The carpenter's work is not completed yet. Clare and Pearn intend going about it this week or the next. The clothes and everything are in good condition in my charge. I am, Sir, Your very humble and obedient servt. (Signed) W. Stewart. To:- D. McLean Esq. Inspector of Police.
