My dear McLean, The General is here. He says the friendly natives have not been well treated. That Parris is in hot water with Gold and the Officers and wants you to go to N.P. if you only go for a week. Could you take White with you so that you might leave him there and return after seeing matters squared. The Victoria will return tomorrow.
