Waitangi, Bay of Islands 22nd Oct. 1867 My Dear Sir I take the opportunity of my eldest son's going to your part of the world to thank you most kindly for the efficient support you gave Mr. Carleton's Bill, and beg at the same time to introduce him to you - My younger son writes of your kindness to him - so that you are already acquainted with him. My son goes to look at any land which may be open for selection from Turanga Northwards, But it is probable he may have to visit Napier. I need not say how much I shall feel obliged if you will favor him with any information it may be in your power to give him in furtherance of the object of his visit. I remain, My Dear Sir Yours very truly James Busby
