Sir, Applications for rehearing of Cases, which have been before the Judges of the Native Land Court, having been submitted for the consideration of the Government, in which there is an absence of specific information as to the names of the Blocks, the District, and locality in which they are situated, the names of the Parties to whom Certificates have been granted, and the circumstances under which they may have been issued, I shall feel obliged, if for the future, you will_have the goodness to cause this information to be supplied in such a Town, as will assist the Government in giving the necessary directions in these cases as they arise, together with any other particulars that may serve as a guide in the prompt and beneficial settlement of the Claims to which I have now referred.
