Russell 24th March 1859 5 P.M. Dear McLean, After a hard ride I am fortunate enough to reach this in time to drop one line per St. Kilda to say the Row is all settled. Tirarau, Panone and there parties left Taramai this morning on their return to Kaipara. The St. Kilda being underweigh I have no time to say more but it will be enough in case exaggerated reports reach you. I will write you officially by next mail In haste yours very truly, James R.
