My dear McLean, Smith saw Tamati Ngapara yesterday; and was with him for 3 hours. Ngapara promises to use his influence to get the terms -----(?), and will go with them to Ngaruawhiah. He wishes that they should not be made known anywhere until he announces them at the Meeting. I told Rogan yesterday that I thought we had better make them known to our friends without delay; but now I think they should be withheld. If you know where Mr. Wilson is staying to-day, it will be advisable to let him know, as he was to have copies for circulation. I send my messenger, who will take any letters for you. Believe me always Yours sincerely (Signed) T.G.B. To:- Donald McLean Esq.
