Friday Mg. My Dear McLean, I return Branigans note. I hope the meeting will come to some understanding about roads if they do nothing else. Titiko seems shy of shewing himself. Sewell had a long talk with Travers yesterday, and I gather that what I wrote you is pretty near the mark. He declares positively that if the matter is referred back to the Court on the point of the locality of the blocks he and his clients will be satisfied and give no farther trouble. The question of he admits is settled for good. If this is in good faith, and if he really represents the dissentients, and Messrs. Hadfield and McDonald, this does seem to afford an opening for an adjustment, but caution must be exercised that the case is not opened up again on the title question, and some guarantee must be had that all will acquesee in the decision of the Court . I am confined to the House by cold and this South Easter - but hope to be out again tomorrow. Yours faithfully, Wm. Fox
