7 August 1864 Maraekakaho My dear brother I hope you have the sheep on board by this time. I sent them as soon as they could be sent oweing to the we[a]ther. I have about 7000 or 8000 thousand sheep in the yard today docking and I hope the we[a]ther will stand good and I hope the next time you will send for sheep you will give notise in due time. They are a[s] near as posibble what you wa[n]ted. Rich said they were the best store sheep he had seen leaving the place. Anabella is well. In haste A McLean
