My dear Sir, I should be much obliged if you would kindly give me the following particulars. 1. Whether the natives have yet received a portion of the payment for the small 3000 acre block south of the Sugar Loaves, and what is the total amount they will be paid, and in what instalments? 2. The names of the principal chief selling it. 3. What instalments the Taranaki natives are to receive for the 12000 acre block besides the £200 redd. the other day? 4. The names of their principal chiefs. 5. What the total sum is to be paid for the "Grey Block", and what will be the instalments, when the natives decide to take the payment? If you will take the trouble to answer these queries, I shall be thankful. And I am Yours very truly, F.D. Bell. 21 Sept. 47.
