Wellington 2nd Feb. /73 My Dear Mr. McLean I have to thank you for your kind telegram. You may be sure that I will come to Whanganui as soon as the Doctor will let me leave the house. At present, and for the last two days, it is blowing a cold South Easter which is keeping me to my room. While at Wairarapa I got through some local Trust Commission business, so that my visit was not useless. Yours very truly My Dear Mr. McLean Charles Heaphy P.S. Will you excuse bad writing. C.H. Shall I apply to Buckley to do something that will gain time in the matter of Ngatuere's ejectment? C.H. The Honb. D. McLean C.M.G.
