My dear McLean, The sight of your well known hand writing was good for sore eyes, more especially as you tell me there is a chance of your coming here. I write now only to keep you to your promise to say how glad we shall be to welcome you here. We shall not leave home until the middle of February when we shall go for about three weeks or a month to Launceston for the Races and to pay some visits. At all others times we shall be at home and only too happy to see you for as long as you can put up with a dull routine. We have not the excitement which never fails in New Zealand but I think you will like the quiet and the comfort of Tasmania.
