ARATAPU SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The ordinary meeting of the Aratupu School Committee was held on Monday eyening when Messrs Nield, Corkill, T. Bassett, Wilson and Donaldson were present. The Chairman and Head Teacher were ap pointed to complete arrangements for the planting of trees on Arbour Day. The Board reported that £l7 10s had been placed to the credit of Committee. Accounts for cleaning, repairs and school requisites were passed for payment. A list of irregular attendants was forwarded by the Head Teacher, who also complained ihat the school had been entered in an improper manner. It was decided to direct the teacher to see that the windows are securely fastened each evening, Mrs Brown’s tender for cleaning school was accepted.
