Tne verdict, at the Inquest on McSweeuey vyas that death resulted from heart failure due to a dilated heart, acute delirium, and scurvy due to exhaustion by prolonged abstention from food. MOURNING IN CORK. A FEELING OF BROODING DISASTER. LONDON, Oct. 20. Though there is no outward sign of trouble, Coi’k reports declare that a feeling of brooding- disaster exists. Police and military precautions are extensive.

There is widespread mourning in Cork. Public bodies adjourned, and: amusements are shut. A bodyguard, of volunteers propose to proceed to England to escort the remains.
