EASTERN TROUBLES.
UNREST IN INDIA. STUDENTS CAUSE TROUBLE. Received 10.20 a.m, DELHI, Oct. 27. As the result of extremists aglta r tions, students in various educational centres are attempting to turn the College into national organisations under a Khalifat Committee. Several hundred students resigned from the Colleges, and at Lahore a thousand made a demonstration urging all students in India to resign. The police are taking measures to guard Government property. The movement is disorganising educational work throughout the country.
trouble With tribesmen. BRITISH CAMP RAIDED. Received 10.50 a.m. DELHI, Oct. 27. Wagiri tribesmen raided the Kamar Bridge camp on the Jandola road and rifled the -stores. In beating oft the raiders the Britsih suffered sixteen casualties., |The raiders left one dead. K ' - ,j. ULTIMATUM TO WAZIRIB. ONE MONTH TO REPLY. Received 10.5$ a.m. LONDON, Oct 2T. Having settled the Mahsud trouble, the Indian Government has seat terms to the Wana Waziri tribesmen, who actively assisted Afghanistan in the late war. The terms include a fine of £SOOO, the surrender of tribal rifles, and the right to locate troops and build posts and roads in the Wana Country. The tribes have been allowed a month in which to reply to the ultimatum.
