FOOTBALL.

On Saturday the match between the Pirate and Mataroa Juniors was postponed owing to Mataroa not having sufficient notice. However, a. practice match was played until 3 p.lll.

The SClli=Ol's fixture, Huia. V. Rover, commenced at 3.15. Bennett. won the toss and ‘elected to defend the northern goal. The followers wore the players.
