CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

Sdr,—-A cattle fair was bpld on Wednesday last, and cattle which probably were on the road from fh<? previousMonday are still in the paddocks adjacent to the yards, with no feed . whatever. Surely, sir. it is somebody : » business to see that these animals are not starved. The poor beasts are making the night hideous with Uieir bellowing. There is much talk about the scarcity of building sites in the township, yet here are some of the best sites being held up by what has already become of public nuisance and a positive menace to
