BRITISH AEROPLANES.
ATTACK GERMAN POSITIONS. OSTEND STATION DESTROYED. (Reed 1.25 p.m.) LONDON, Feb 12. The Admiralty states that thirtyfour aeroplanes attacked Bruges, Zeebrugge and Ostend, with a view to destroying the submarine base. At Ostend the station was burnt to the ground. All pilots are safe, but two machines v/afrei damaged. '; Samson commanded the expedition. WITHIN LAST 24 HOURS. BRITISH AEROPLANE ATTACK. GREAT DAMAGE DONE. (Rec. 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 12. The Admiralty states that a combined aeroplane and seaplane attack was made within the last 24 hours. The railway station at Blankenbergh was damaged and lines were- torn up in many place. Bombs were dropped on gun positions at Middlekirke, also on the power station, and on German mine-sweep-ers at Zeebrugge. The damage is unknown. No submarines were seen bv the attackers, who encountered snow. Flight Commander Graham White fell into the sea at Nieuport. A French vessel rescued him. Although the attackers were exposed io heavy gunfire by mitrailleuses, only two machines were damaged.
