CALLIOPE HARRIERS
In view' of the Calliope Harriers’ visit to Hamilton, to run against the Hamilton Harriers on Saturday next, the club had a useful work-out on Saturday afternoon at Birkenhead. The run of about seven miles was over typical country, entailing bush, hills and swamp. The order home was:— J. Silvester, 1; Rowland. 2; Clayton, S. . ..
The school "boys had a-relay race of two and ir-half miles. Result:—A team, R. Brennan, N. Tothill and C. Robertson, time 16m 9s. 1: R. team. T. Lanigan, F* Blackwell, R. Burnett, time. 16m 30s, 2. R. Brennan made the fastest lap in 4m 555.
