“HELL HARBOR” "HSU Harbor,” now at the National Theatre, is a romantic drama laid in a semi-barbaric coast town. in the tropics, and presents L,upe Velez as the modern descendant of the notorious pirate chieftain. Sir Henry Mor”aThe featured players, Lupe and Jean . Hersholt, play their parts admirably. Lupe gives a vigorous interpretation of the wild, young lass whose unbending will gives the story impetus. For the first time she speaks and the voice which was heard singing in "Lady of the Pavements’' comes now vibrantly and sweetly with the words of Anita in "Hell Harbor. Here is a naivete to the manner in which Lupe speaks her lines that is altogether charming. The fight scene brings the picture to a smashing climax in which sopie of the most notorious of the bad men go down with their boots on.
