COLOUR AND MUSIC
Because music creates, through the ear, the consciousness of beauty tha.t colour conveys through the eye, Lawrence Tibbett, opera star, appears in natural colours in his first talking picture. "The Rogue Song,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s spectacular music drama, in which the famous baritone sings songs of grand opera calibre, was made entirely in teohnieolour. Tibbett sings six songs, specially composed hv Herbert Stothart, and Interpolations by Franz Lehar, composer of “The Merry Widow.” and Elsa Alsen, famous Wagnerian soprano, also sings in the picture. A symphony orchestra is used to accompany the singers in the big musical numbers.
