TAUPIRI NOTES

Mr. A. H. Waring presided at the annual meeting of the Taupiri Domain Board. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £2so’ 10s 2d. A deputation from the Rugby Union Football Club waited on the board with the request that gates be erected at Onslow Park so as to permit of motorears entering the grounds. This request was granted. At the annual meeting of the Tau-pii-i Soldiers’ and Settlers’ Hall Committee, presided over by Mr. A. H. Waring, the balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £ll6 ISs Sd. Mr. Waring was re-elected to the position of chairman and Mr. R. T. Hill to that of hon. secretary and treasurez-. Other members of committee elected were Messrs. W. A. Lovell, G. Walters T. T. White, G. Horwood and C. M. Gleeson. The intention of the hall committee is to insta] a talking machino as soon as it is convenient.
