TAUMARUNUI FOOTBALL
From Cur Own Correspondent TAUMARUNUI, Monday. Mr. AY. Miles presided over the annual meeting of the Taumarunui Rugby Sub-Union. The report and balance sheet disclosed that the last season had not been too successful, but there was evidence of better conditions for the 1930 term. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. F. Smith; president, Air. A. E. Rice; vice-president. Messrs. R. AY. Beresford, C. Otto and H. Fraser; secretary. Air. J. H. Lynskey; treasurer. All*. AV. Aliles; committee. Alessrs. K. Skilton, A. Crane, \V. Beever, C. Otto. ,T. Butler (and two vacancies to be filled later): auditor. Air. Sam Sarah: vice-president, on King Country Rugby Union, Air. C. Otto; delegates to King Country Rugby Union, Alessrs. C. Otto, A. Crane and M. Sarali. A special general meeting of delegates to the sub-union on April 14 will decide whether “club” or "boundary” football will be played this season. ATHLETIC CLUB Mr. AY. Melrose was in the chair at the annual meeting of the AthleticRugby Club (Taumarunui). Officers were elected: —Patron, Air. H. Fraser: president, Air. AAA Johns; vice-presi-dents, Alessrs. C.
