SATURDAY’S RACING The Ponsonby Pigeon Flying Club's race from Te Awamutu (air-line 83 miles) was won by Mr. H. Tliwaites’s r c c Regent's Trier at the very fast rate of I,9oßyds a minute; Mr. W. H. The North Shore Club’s yearling championship from Palmerston North (air-lino 260 miles) resulted in a win for Mr. A. Gilbert's m c Bon Accord, with a record velocity for the club of 1,686yds a minute: Mr. R. Oliver's b c h Lady Jess. l,6Ssyds, second; Mr. F. Roman’s b c c Ace High. 1,684yd5, third. Mr. J. Wilson’s b c h Blue Princess won the Avalon Pigeon Club’s race from Palmerston XoVth (atr-line 230 miles), with a velocity of 1.556.5yds a minute; Messrs. ONEHUNGA CLUB The Onehunga Pigeon Club flew its third race on Saturday from Huntervilie, 215 miles, under ideal conditions. The winning bird did the distance in 3hr 53min.
