REFORM ROOMS
OFFICIAL OPENING BY RT. HON. COATES CEREMONY ON MONDAY The official opening ceremony of the Reform Party’s new rooms in the Southern Cross Buildings will be performed by the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, on Monday afternoon. Mr. Coates will arrive in Auckland on Sunday morning and after the ceremony on Monday afternoon will discuss party matters with members of the Aucklad branches. Confidence in the Reform Party and Mr. Coates as its leader was expressed in a resolution passed at a meeting of supporters of the party in the Parnell electorate last evening, j Mr. J. B. Paterson, president of the | electorate executive, presided and, j with Mr. G. Brownlee, reported ou j the recent conference of the party. | A short address on the present poli- | tical situation was given by Mr. J. jA. Nash, M.P. for Palmerston, who j was accorded a vote of thanks on the | motion of Mr. E. H. Northcroft. j Resolutions of sympathy with Sir Maui Fomare, member for Western j Maori, and Mr. T. H. Burnett, memj her for Temuka, in their illnesses, [ w r ere carried.
