CONSISTENCY COUNTS

POR consistency the highly-bred pacing mare, Jean McElwyn, is decidedly hard to beat. During the season just ended the daughter of Nelson Bingen—Miss Spiers was in the place where money is earned a dozen times, and while this only represented two actual wins, the little mare’s achievement resulted in owner D. R. Revell receiving £1,430 as Jean’s contribution to his trotting stakes revenue. The speedy mare made several strenuous efforts to win a twomile heat throughout the year, but just failed to accomplish the trick. Next season she should get there all right and _ will probably win some big handicaps.
