MISTER GAMP
THE Great Northern winner, Mister Gamp, had Home Made as a partner on a round and ahaif over the battens at Awapuni cn Tuesday, five fences being negotiated. They gave a clean display of jumping. Mister Gamp being a shade the quicker in negotiating them, but they finished together. However, Mister Gamp was, as usual, anxious to go on with it. Both will contest the Trentham Hurdles on the opening day at Wellington, while they likewise figure in the Winter Hurdles on the third day, the Thurnham gelding being in receipt of 19!b over the shorter distance and 2lb less in the big contest—a rather peculiar state of affairs, comments THE SUN'S Manawatu correspondent.
