BANNED ON CHRISTMAS DAY (Special to THE SUX) MORRIXSVILLE. Friday, j Protesting against a sub-committee’s ! action in vetoing a film programme for I Christmas Day, Mr. B. Chapman, | speaking in the Morrinsville Borough i Council, said that Christmas was a ; time for rejoicing and did not call for the barring of films at picture theatres. The Mayor, Mr. W. McPherson, sa'.d that the committee had seen a poster 1 describing the film as a South Sea ' story of the “wild and woolly’’ sore. It was not a comedy, and he certainly i did not think it was religious. The \ council upheld the action of the comj mittee.
