Clark, of Sydney, is visiting Auckland. He is staying at tho Grand Hotel. Mr. D. B. R. Turner, of Canterbury, arrived from Wellington this morning on the Limited. Mr. J. F. Mackley, locomotive engipeer of railways, returned to Auckland this morning after a visit to WellingThe Hon. W. Earnshaw, M.L.C., left Wellington last evening by the Limited after spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Roberton will return to Auckland on Sunday by the Vorangi. They have been visiting japan and Java. Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director ~L the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, left for the South last evening on the Limited. Mr. W. J. Gow, chief postmaster, ~nd, will leave next week on a tour of inspection of the offices in his district. Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, left by the Limited for Wellington last evening. He will attend a meeting of the executive of the Hospital Boards’ Association. Mr. Angus J. Campbell, who is retiring after 40 years’ service with the National Bank of New Zealand, was presented with a suitcase and a case of pipes by the staff of the Dunedin branch. The manager, Mr. P. R. M. Hanna, referred to Mr. Campbell’s sterling qualities and voiced the regret 0 f the staff in losing such an esteemed and capable officer.
