MISSING IN CHINA

TWO BRITISH OFFICERS (United Service) SHANGHAI, Sunday. Considerable anxiety is felt regarding the fate of Mr. John Smith, British Consul at Amoy. It was thought that he left Shanghai on the vessel Chinhai for Amoy, but it is now reported that he is not on board. Surgeon-Lieutenant Scott, of H.M.S. Cricket, lias been missing since Friday. He attended a party at a local cabaret and has not been seen since.
