ST. JAMES THEATRE

SEASON CONCLUDING George Ward and his “Whirl of Mirth” Revue Company have nearly concluded their Auckland season and for only two more nights and one matinee will the popular combination be seen at St. James Theatre. Throughout the long season the company has enjoyed great popularity and many Aucklanders will be sorry to see the last of "Little ITermie” Ward and his merry band. The little comedian has always secured a ready laugh when he has appeared on the stage, his droll absurdities and comical gestures making a great hit with the audience. In his work ho has been ably supported by Charles Sherman and Frank Moran. Vernon Sellars with his fine voice has enjoyed immense popularity and this applies also to Patsy Hill and Colleen Hope. The dancers, Jean Keith and Gus Dawson, with their clever stepdancing. and the ballet of girls, have also received their full share of tho public's appreciation. The lovers of jazz will be sorry to lose the Charleston Symphonic Six, a combination which has been playing here for some months. As soloists and as a combination the members of the band have given audiences first-class performances and have proved one of the best bands to visit this city. On Saturday. December 22, George Wallace, the Australian comedian, and his revue company will commence the Auckland season.
