GRAMMAR DEFEATS KING’S In the first match of the secondary schools cricket competition Auckland Grammar School defeated King’s College at Middlemore by 53 runs. Auckland Grammar scored 196 (Whitelaw 75, McCormick 31, McKeamey 28, Clapham 26, Stehr 19), and King’s College 143 (Stewart 44. Channell 31, Howr den 24). For King’s College Caughey
took seven wickets for 28 runs, and for Grammar School McCormick took | three for 36, McKearney two for 33, and j McGehan three for 4G.
