TOWN HALL TO-NIGHT Mr. Alfred O’Shea, who arrived from Wellington this morning, will give the first of four concerts in the Town Hall to-night, commencing at 8.10, under the direction of M. Henry Hayward Mr. O’Shea’s programme will include “Agnus Dei,” with grand organ accompaniment by Mr. Maughan Barnett, “Che Gelida Manina,” (“La Boheme,” Puccini), “Berceuse de Jocelyn” (“Angels Guard Thee,” Godard), “Questa o Quello,” “La Donna e Mobile” (“Rigoletto,” Verdi), “Faery Tales of Ireland” (Coalis), “The Low Backed Car,” “I Hear a Thrush At Eve,” “The Snowy Breasted Pearl,” “Annie Laurie,” and a generous number of specially requested items. Mr. O’Shea’s associate artists, Miss Claire Hartge (violiniste) and Mi?s Kathleen Fitzgerald (solo pianist and accompanist) will feature respectively Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria,” Brahm’s “Hungarian Dance, No. 2,” and the last movement of Beethoven’s “Appassionata” and Chopin’s “Ballade in A Flat.” There will be three further. concerts on Thursday, Saturday and Monday. Booking arrangements are advertised.
