VOUCHERS FORGED

MAORI COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE (Special to THE SUNJ WANGANUI, Friday. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day a well-dressed young Maori, Raumeaua Tihema, was charged with forgery. It was alleged that he had forged vouchers at Feilding, Wanganui and Palmerston North, the total amount being £4l 18s 6d. Detective Walsh stated that accused had given every assistance in unravelling the facts of what would have otherwise been a very difficult case. Accused had given more of the money away than he had spent on himself. Tihema pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
