“FOUR SONS”
BIG FOX PRODUCTION * The four sons of Grandmother Bernle, the principal character of “Four Suns,” are played by James Hall, Charles Morton. Francis X. Bushman, junr., and George Meeker. “Four Sons” gives every indication that it will Lie one of the biggest films produced by Fox during many years. The story is human and moving, telling a simple tale of family life in Germany. The villagers, kindly and happy, are suddenly engulfed in the conflict, and tragedy stalks into their simple lives. Three of Grandmother Bernle’s sons are killed, but the fourth returns to his land of adoption, America, and sends for the mother who has suffered so much. Margaret Mann is another Mary Carr in her interpretation of this part. Ruth Hurst is losing no time in starting her career at Universal City. She was discovered by Carl Laemmle as an extra in the “Freedom of the Press.”
