“THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY” A story from the pen of P. G. Wodehouse, the popular English humorist, is the foundation of the picture, * The Golden Butterfly,” now being - shown at Everybody’s Theatre. The plot contains in addition to Uie humour, for which the author is famous, many poignant and appealing moments, and concerns the ambitions and hopes of a little dancing girl. Being fortunate enough to secure a place in a show, she worked hard and rose like a rocket to fame and fortune. London went wild over the new dancer, but in her heart she was unhappy, for an old lover. When she was definitely out of his life she turned to her work to forget, and accepted the leading role in a new revue, “The Golden Butterfly.” The first night a terrible accident happened and she was crippled for life, but in her dire need her old lover came to her again. Lili Damita, a popular and talented Continental actress, heads the capable cast of European players. The second feature, Reginald Benny in That s My Baddy,” is an uproarious comedy of an attempt to bluff a traffic inspector, which had disastrous consequences.
