EMPIRE TRADE PACTS
SUPPORT IN CANADA CRITICS DENOUNCED (United P.A.—By Telegraph, — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Sei'vice) Reed. 9.5 a.m. VANCOUVER, Friday. Denouncing Canadian public men for criticising the Australian treaty, the chairman, Mr. Tomlin, at the annual meeting of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association, placed the association on record as favouring the pact, as well as the negotiation of similar treaties with other parts of the Empire, wherever possible.
He declared that there must be a spirit of give and take if Empire trade was to be built up.
