GLEN EDEN BOARD
The engineer to the Glen Eden Town Board reported to the last meeting of the board that he estimated the cost of a bitumen surface for the West Coast Road at £12,111, exclusive of bridges, and it was decided to place these figures before the parties interested.
Tli time was not considered opportune to make the clerk’s appointment a full-time one.
After discussion of the estimates it was decided to strike rates totalling 7 11-64 d in the £, an increase of 25 per cent. The proposed alterations and additions to the Town Hall are to be abandoned for the present. The city council forwarded £2l, being the boards share of licensing fees for the year.
