RICH MAN,S SECRET MARRIAGE
A wealthy man’s secret marriage is revealed by the will of Captain Thomas Preke LeVia, of the Court, Abbey Dore*, Hereford, and of Chepstow, Monmonthshire, whose property is valued at £133,631. Captain Lewis’s first wife died in 1899, and at his death on the 13th December, at the age of seventy*seven, it was supposed that he was still a widower and childless, and tnat his nephew. Captain Protheroe, of Malpaa Court, Newport, would succeed to the estates. The will, however, which is dated 19th June last, shows that two or three years ago he married a Miss Julia Morgan, by whom he had a son and a daughter. All three survive him. He settled his real estate in Monmouthshire on his sou, and directed that his real estate in the City of London and his Abbey Dore Estate in Hereford'should be sold and provision for his wife and children made out of the proceeds. He lelt £SOO for the benefit of poor tenants on the Abbey Dore Estate, £2OO to Rnth Meakin, “my late wife’s maid,” as a recognition of her care and attention; £IOO to his coachman, John James; and the residue of the personal estate to his wife. Captain Lewis dir«oted that he should be buried in a grave next that of his first wife.
