Tne turf pitch was not in the best of condition and two or three of the batsmen received nasty knocks from the ball in consequence. G. O. Hare made a good stand for Cheltenham, and was unfortunately caught on the last wicket, At the conolusiom of the game the Rev. Carlisle, in a short speech, thanked the Cheltenham Club for the hospitality always shown to the visiting team.
