A fire at 11 o’clock this morning at Johnsonville destroyed two wooden shops and dwellings owned by Bonld. and occupied by T. Leighton, bootmaker, and David Morgan, fruiterer. Insurances are not available. Most of the classes at Mat loti Technical School are so far poorly attended, and the numbers enrolled are quite insufficient to make the classes pay. This fact is most deplorable, for it shows that the younger generation is unwilling to take advantage of the efforts being made on its behalf. In some classes names have been forwarded, but the students did not attend the first night. In others no names have been handed in at all. although classes were successful last year, and every effort has been made to engage a strong staff of instructors. Anyone requiring information about the classes can obtain it by application to the local director, Mr Train. “SUGROSINE” FED. Mr. J. H. Sellers, of Okaiawa, the noted breeder of Berkshire pigs, writes:—“l have used “SUOROSINE” for the past four years, and the result has quite exceeded my expectations.
