STOCK REPORT
Loan & Mercantile report-—At Rangiwahia, on Monday, we had a good yarding of sheep, very few cattle coming forward. Bidding was spirited, especially for go'Hl quality ewes, and a total clearance was effected under the hammer. Quotations Aged ewes 8s lOd, 9s, 9s lOd to 10s ‘ 2 tooth ewes 12s 6d to 13s, 2 tooth wethers 11s, 11s Id, 11s 4d, rams to 3gns. At Kimboltoa on Tuesday we had an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep of all sorts and a medium entry for cattle. Bidding at auction was brisk, and we disposed of almost all lines under the hammer. Quotations Aged ewes 9s lOd, fat ewes to 10s 9d, 2 tooth wethers small 8s lOd, others 9s 5d to 10s 3d, fat wethers 12s 3d, 2 and 4 tooth wethers lls Id, lambs small 5s to 6s Bd,> Lincoln rams to £2 2s, Romney rams to 2%gns, Southdown rams f.m. £5 6s, mixed weaners small 17s 6d, others 21s, mixed yearlings 32s 6d, heifers springing £2 10s to £B. At Feilding yesterday we had a good entry of both sheep and cattle. Good rape lambs sold well, and a good healthy tone was maintained throughout the sale, good business being done and very few being tnrned out unsold. Cattle sold at late rates, and all lines were quitted. We quote Rape lambs 8s to 8a lOd, f.m. ewes 7s Id to 8s 6d, 4, 6. and f.m. ewes 12s, 2 tooth ewes 13s, 2 tooth wethers 9s 6d, 15s, 15 mouth heifers £2 6s, yearling steers £2, 2 year heifers £2 3s, 2year steers £3 8s 6d to £3 15s, forward bollocks £5 18s, fat cows £4 7s 6d, forward cows £8 is, store cows 31s to 395, bulla £2 7s 6d to £3 2s 6d. Messrs Gorton & Son report the following prices at their sale yesterday Sheep : Mixed lambs 6s, 7s 6d, 9s, 9s Bd, rape lambs 9s sd, other sorts 6s Id, 8s 9d and 9s 2d, ewes 5s 3d, Bs, 8s sd, 2 tooth ewes 13s 2d, 2 tooth wethers 10s, 10s 6d and 11s 6cl. Cattle; Heifers £ls months 28s 6d, empty heifers £3 10s, weaner £2, fat cows £3 7s 6d, £3 18s 6d, £4, and £5, cow in calf £2 10s, 16 bullocks £4 19s, dairy cows £3 10s, £5 and. £9. Messrs Dalgety & Co. report on yesterday’s Feilding sale The following prices were realised: Cull lambs 3s 3d, 5s to 5s sd, small lambs Cs 4d, medium lambs 7s to 7s 9d, rape lambs 8s 2d 8s 6d to 8s lid, sound mouthed ewes 9s 9d, mixed age ewes to 8s 7d,£2 tooth ewes 41s Gd, culled wethers 7s, small 2 tooth wethers 9s 6d, medium 10s 3d, good to 11s, 15 mouths heifers to 265, 2 year heifers to £2 4s.
