At the adjourned inquest on the body of William Brumley, which was found in Evan’s Bay on Sunday, the Coroner found that the deceased was fonnd drowned, there being no evidence to show how he got in the sea. Dunedin, February 3. A schoolboy named Lawrence was drowned in a pool in the Milton Domain yesterday afternoon. He was tiathing in company with other boys and got into a hole about five feet deep. Though there were adults about; an alarm was not given until too late. The pool has been caused by the recent floods and at a meeting yesterday of the Domain Board, it was decided to have it filled up. Nelson, February 2. , At the inquest touching on the death of Mrs Henry Bggers who was killed at Upper Moutere on Friday by the capsizing of a trap, evidence showed that the horse shied at a passing motor car. A verdict of accidental death was returned, a rider being added completely exonerating Mr Arthur Maginnity, driver of the car. . An inquest was held to-day into the circumstances of the death of a young married woman, Ellen Minchen, who was living apart from her husband, and who shot herself last night. Evidence showed that deceased had complained of headaches for some time and last evening had, with her sister, and child, gone for a motor drive with W. A. Smith, City Engineer, returning between 10 and 11, She immediately went to bed and shot herself with a revolver a few minutes later. Smith said he employed deceased as a sort of private secretary on work of a private nature. Shots were fired as he was leaving the house. He knew of no reason for the act. The jury found that deceased had shot herself during a fit of impulsive insanity.
