About £750,000 of New South Wales half-year Treasury hills have been placed in the London market at about 2% per cent, discount. Sydney, January 8.
In reference to the Treasury bills the Treasurer explains that a loan of £1,750,000 matured iu London on®lst January and Government not having sufficient cash in London, temporary arrangements were made with the London Westminster Bank for the balance of £750,000, Government offering short dated bills to cover this overdraft.
