FOUND DEAD.

Press Association. Christchurch-, January 4. Early this morning Thomas Meragetts was found by his wife lying dead in the workshop adjoining the house. Deceased lefc home on Sunday at 4 p.m., and not returning that night his wife waited up for him, and at last decided to look in the workshop. Dr. Talbot was sent for, who found a ballet wound in deceased’s left side just under the heart. A five chambered revolver with one chamber empty was found pear by. Deceased evidently placed the muzzle inside his shirt as no powder marks were found on his clothing. The body was removed to the morgue.
