The people of Tangier are inclined to proclaim Mnlai Hafid as Sultan, The authorities of J Abdul Aziz have -summoned all forces from the outside to patrol the town with the object of preventing the proclamation. Paris, June 20. The French Chamber, by a majority of 217, endorsed the Government’s Moroccan policy after M. Pichon had explained that if France was eventually compelled to recognise Mnlai Hafid he must acknowledge the rights of France, adhere to the Algeciras compact, and pay for damages done.
