PERSECUTED WORKERS.

Press Dunedin, May 21

The annual report of the Otago Trades and Labour Council Estates that the victimising of Unionists has not disappeared, and unless something is done to check persecution by unscrupulous employers great difficulty will be experienced in officering the unions. If the Government expects Unions to be lawabiding it must provide for putting an immediate stop to anything in the way of boycotting, or find employment for victimised men. ‘ The Council appointed a deputation to wait on the Minister ®f Labour on his coming visit to Dunedin, to bring before him various matters connected with labour. The following delegates were appointed to represent the Council at the annual Trades and Labour Conference in Wellington, commencing on July 20th;—S. Brown, R. Breen, J. Holmes, and G. Westwood.
